An independent choice
A considered repair.
From the first
conversation.
A scrape along the door. A bumper that no longer sits correctly. An impact that leaves you wondering what else was affected.
We start by listening, inspecting the vehicle and explaining what we can see—and what needs a closer look. You can arrange a free preliminary visual estimate at either Universal Motorcars location. More complete findings may require authorized disassembly, diagnostics or measurements.
Start at our Post Road facility at 3570 W Post Rd for luxury bodywork, paint and accident repairs. Our Spring Mountain team provides these services too. Call the location that works for you and tell us about your vehicle.
Independent luxury-vehicle repair. The brands shown identify vehicles we work with; they do not denote factory approval. Call with your year, model and damage so we can confirm the appropriate repair scope.

Bodywork & refinishing
The details you see.
The work behind them.
Good refinishing starts before the color goes on. The damaged surface, surrounding finish, trim and panel fit all belong in the repair discussion.
Scratches, dents & damaged panels
We assess the depth and location of damage, the panel material and access behind it. Repairing a panel and replacing it are different decisions; we explain the recommendation for your car.
Color, blending & finish quality
Matching a finish involves more than selecting a paint code. We evaluate the existing color and explain where blending into adjacent panels belongs in the refinishing plan. Tell us about previous paintwork, wraps or paint-protection film.
Panel fit & reassembly
Edges, gaps, mounting points and trim deserve attention alongside the paint. Final review follows the authorized work, including the applicable mechanical and electronic checks.

A visible result is only part of the conversation. We explain the findings, proposed repair approach and required checks for your particular vehicle before you authorize work.
The right work for the actual damage
Luxury collision repair
is vehicle-specific.
A badge alone does not describe how a car is built. Model year, materials, equipment and impact location help determine the work your vehicle needs.
Bumpers & sensors
A bumper cover can conceal brackets, wiring and driver-assistance sensors. We review the affected area and applicable repair information before deciding whether repair or replacement is appropriate.
Structure & aluminum
A changed panel gap or impact near a wheel may call for further inspection or measurement. Material-specific repair limits, equipment and parts access matter. We confirm the required capability before committing to structural or aluminum work.
Scans & calibration
A diagnostic scan and a calibration are different operations. The vehicle’s equipment, manufacturer instructions and work performed determine the required checks, calibration, coding or specialist involvement.
Why a warning light
isn’t the whole picture.
Mercedes-Benz’s collision guidance explains that affected sensors and control units may need evaluation even when the instrument cluster does not report a failure. Current instructions for the particular vehicle take priority.

Porsche bodywork
Plan the repair.
Protect the details.
Our workshop photograph shows a Porsche Cayman with the rear bumper cover and lamps removed. Reassembly, panel fit and any required diagnostics belong in a vehicle-specific repair plan.
A clear explanation matters just as much as a finished appearance. Ask us which operations apply to your model and how we will document the work.

Insurance claims & self-pay repairs
Make the next step
easier to understand.
You do not need to have every answer before calling us. Tell us what happened, whether the vehicle is drivable and whether a claim is open. Bring any insurer estimate you have.
We document accident-related findings and communicate with adjusters. If additional damage appears during authorized disassembly or testing, we prepare a supplement for the insurer to review. An initial estimate may not include all the work the vehicle needs.
Paying yourself? We can discuss the scope and estimate directly with you. Ask us to explain the difference between cosmetic priorities and work needed to address the damage.

OEM parts: discuss them early.
We explain the parts recommendation for the repair and document the reasons for it. Genuine manufacturer parts, availability, restricted components and insurer payment decisions can affect the plan. OEM coverage is not automatic; discuss your preferences and any potential out-of-pocket cost before authorizing work.
From inspection to pickup
Know what is happening.
Know what comes next.
Bring us the concern.
Arrange the preliminary inspection. If the vehicle cannot be driven, call before towing. We can help coordinate towing or authorized impound pickup and confirm the destination.
Review the plan.
We explain the known damage, recommended evaluation and proposed work. Disassembly and diagnostic services are separate from a free visual estimate; confirm authorization and any charges first.
Stay informed.
Parts, hidden damage, insurer review and required specialist work can affect timing. We discuss the expected schedule and explain changes as the repair progresses. Rental coordination depends on availability and coverage.
Review the result.
At pickup, review the completed work and applicable checks with our team. Ask for the written paint and workmanship warranty so the coverage, duration and claim process are clear.

Qualifications with a clear address
Training and experience
you can ask us about.
Spring Mountain is our I-CAR Gold Class facility. Universal Motorcars’ team includes I-CAR Platinum collision technicians and ASE-certified mechanical technicians.
Our participating factory-certified collision programs are associated with Spring Mountain. Those credentials are separate from the independent luxury services described here.
At either location, ask how the proposed work fits your particular model, what repair information applies and whether an outside specialist is needed. We want that discussion to happen before work begins.
A few more answers
Before you
bring it in.
A conversation with our team can settle the questions specific to your car and claim.
Where should I take my luxury car after an accident?
Contact Universal Motorcars at Post Road or Spring Mountain for an in-person damage inspection. If the vehicle has a fluid leak, a displaced wheel, damaged lights, a warning message or a change in steering or braking, describe it when you call and arrange towing if its safety is uncertain. Tell the team where the vehicle is before sending a tow truck.
How do I choose a qualified independent collision shop?
Ask for examples of relevant work, the repair plan for your model, the applicable technician training and a clear explanation of parts and required checks. Confirm credentials for the actual facility doing the work. Review recent customer experiences and the shop’s written warranty, too.
Can I get an estimate without filing an insurance claim?
Yes. Self-pay customers are welcome. We offer free preliminary visual estimates after an in-person inspection. The team will explain if disassembly, diagnostic testing or other paid evaluation is needed for a complete plan before you authorize it.
Can you repair a bumper instead of replacing it?
Sometimes. The material, damage, mounting points and nearby sensors matter. The appropriate manufacturer instructions may restrict repairs in particular areas. We inspect the bumper and explain the repair or replacement recommendation.
How long will the repairs take?
We give you an estimate based on the damage, work required and available parts. A visual inspection alone cannot establish a firm completion date for every collision. Additional findings, insurer decisions, parts delays or calibration scheduling can change the timeline; we explain those changes and the next step.
What warranty applies to paint and workmanship?
Ask our team for the written collision-repair warranty that applies to your authorized work. Review its coverage, duration and how to request assistance before approving the repair. Collision coverage is separate from any mechanical-service warranty.
Do you accept other luxury and exotic vehicles?
Call with your vehicle’s year, make, model and damage. We confirm the repair scope, equipment, parts access and any specialist requirements before accepting the work. This is especially important for unusual body materials, restricted components and high-voltage systems.
Let’s look at your vehicle.
Start with a careful inspection.
Bring the car, your questions and any existing estimate. We’ll help you work out the next step.
