Certification you can check

Mopar-certified collision repair. A facility you can verify.

Universal Motorcars’ 5585 Spring Mountain Road location is listed as an FCA US LLC Certified Collision Repair Facility in Mopar’s official locator.

Mopar is the parts, service and customer-care name associated with these vehicle brands. For collision repair, the credential to check is the facility’s FCA certification—not simply whether a shop works on a Mopar vehicle.

The program’s facility standards address technician training, required tools and equipment, and access to manufacturer repair information. Those requirements support a repair plan based on your vehicle and the damage found.

You may see “FCA,” “Mopar” and “Stellantis” used around these brands. FCA is the name used by this certification program; Mopar provides the official collision resources and locator. Certification is specific to the listed facility and does not authorize every specialized procedure on every model.

A repair plan for your vehicle

The badge is the starting point.
The damage sets the plan.

Tell us your model, year, where it was hit and whether anything has changed in the way it drives or operates. Photos help us prepare; an in-person inspection tells us more.

01 / JEEP

Jeep: look beyond the impact.

Look beyond the bumper on your SUV or pickup.

A rear impact on a Wrangler can involve the tailgate, hinges or spare-tire carrier as well as the visible bumper. On a Grand Cherokee, damaged liftgate areas and bumper-mounted equipment also deserve attention.

We review the affected panels and openings, then plan any further inspection for underlying or accident-related mechanical damage. Tell us about lift kits, larger tires, aftermarket bumpers and other modifications before we estimate the work.

02 / RAM

Ram: plan around the whole truck.

Cab, bed and body damage need a complete look.

A damaged bedside or tailgate may be only part of the repair. Depending on the impact, we may need to inspect mounting points, panel alignment, nearby suspension components and connected equipment.

For work trucks and fleet vehicles, share your VIN, truck size, upfits and operating needs when you call. We’ll confirm the vehicle fits our equipment and repair capacity before arranging delivery, and explain the work and scheduling considerations.

03 / DODGE

Dodge: panels, paint and fit.

From a bumper scuff to damaged doors and quarters.

Charger and Challenger repairs often put long panels, character lines and adjacent paint finishes in focus. We assess the depth of the damage, whether a panel can be repaired, and the refinishing area needed for a consistent appearance.

For a Durango with rear-end or side damage, the repair plan may also involve liftgate fit, trim, lights and driver-assistance equipment. Point out paint protection film, wraps or coatings so they can be considered in the estimate.

04 / CHRYSLER

Chrysler: doors, fit and finish.

Door operation matters as much as the visible finish.

On a Pacifica, Voyager or Town & Country, side damage can affect sliding-door clearance, latches, seals and nearby body panels. Tell us if a door binds, will not close or has changed how it operates after the accident.

We also discuss body and paint repair for Chrysler 300 and other older Chrysler vehicles. The inspection and parts availability help determine practical repair options. For a Pacifica Hybrid, identify the drivetrain when you call so we can review the required procedures and repair capacity.

05 / FIAT

Fiat: careful repair in compact spaces.

Bumper, door and hatch damage deserve a complete inspection.

For a Fiat 500, 500L or 500X, we assess the visible damage along with nearby mounting points, lights, trim and panel fit. Tell us if a door or hatch has become difficult to close, or if you notice a new wind noise or water leak after the impact.

We explain whether the affected parts can be repaired or need replacement, the refinishing area and how parts availability may affect the plan. If you drive a 500e, call with the VIN, model year and damage details first so we can confirm the required procedures and our repair capacity before delivery.

Small damage deserves a thoughtful repair

Scratches, dents and bumper damage? Start with an inspection.

You do not need an insurance claim to visit us. We provide free preliminary visual estimates for self-pay bodywork as well as accident repairs.

Bumpers & dents

We assess dents, cracks, mounting points and nearby parts before recommending repair or replacement. A light-looking impact can leave damage behind the bumper cover.

Scratches & paint

The depth of a scratch determines whether refinishing is needed. We evaluate the color and surrounding finish, including whether adjacent panels need blending.

Paint & refinishing

Doors, panels & structure

Panel gaps, door operation and underlying damage can change the scope. More extensive impacts may require measuring and structural repair planning using model-specific information.

A consistent finish starts with preparation.

Paint work involves more than choosing a color code. We assess the existing finish and repair area, then explain the surface preparation and any blending needed on adjacent panels.

Structural repairs need a model-specific plan.

Vehicle materials and construction affect where a component can be repaired, joined or replaced. Mopar’s structural guidance calls for genuine OE structural parts, appropriate measuring and sectioning only where published repair information permits it. Restoring corrosion protection is part of the procedure, too. We use the vehicle and damage findings to determine the appropriate scope, and explain any specialized work or capacity limits before moving forward. See Mopar’s repair position statements ↗.

Insurance or self-pay

An estimate is a starting point.
Here’s what happens next.

A preliminary estimate records visible damage. It may change if disassembly reveals broken brackets, damaged reinforcement, wiring or other concealed damage.

  1. We review the starting estimate. Bring the insurer’s paperwork or ask us to assess a self-pay repair.
  2. We document what inspection reveals. Photos and repair information help explain additional necessary work.
  3. We explain changes and the next decision. For an insurance claim, this may involve a supplement—a request to add documented damage or procedures to the estimate. We advocate for supported repairs and discuss approvals, costs and choices with you.

Can I choose Universal if my insurer suggests another shop?

Yes. Nevada law lets a vehicle owner or claimant select a licensed body shop. An insurer may recommend a shop but cannot require you to use a particular one. That does not guarantee payment for every charge; policy terms and reasonable repair costs still matter.

We advocate for OEM parts.

OEM means original equipment manufacturer. We advocate for genuine manufacturer parts and supported repair procedures, using photos, inspection findings and manufacturer information to explain what your vehicle needs. Payment approval depends on the claim.

Through your own insurance: coverage depends on your policy, including any OEM-parts endorsement, its terms and applicable limits.

Through the other driver’s insurer: we can also push for OEM parts on a third-party claim. Liability decisions, available coverage, documented repair needs and other claim circumstances can still affect what the insurer agrees to pay.

We do our best to support your repair needs and explain the parts proposed, any unresolved differences and your options before you authorize the work. We cannot guarantee OEM-parts approval or full payment.

Paying yourself? We can explain the proposed scope and cost before authorization. Choosing self-pay does not remove the need for any safety-related procedures required by the damage.

Know what to expect

From the first call to the final conversation.

01

Make a safe plan

If the vehicle will not move safely, has a leaking fluid, a damaged wheel or a door that will not secure, call to arrange towing. We can coordinate authorized impound pickup; confirm access and release requirements first.

02

Understand the work

We start with the visible damage, review the claim or self-pay request, and explain when disassembly or additional diagnostics are needed. A visual estimate cannot uncover everything.

03

Stay informed

We communicate changes in repair scope, parts and approvals. Accident-related mechanical work is considered alongside the body repair. Rental coordination depends on your coverage or agreed arrangements.

04

Review the finished repair

We explain the completed work and relevant final checks. The repair plan accounts for manufacturer-required scans and any applicable calibration, with specialist involvement where needed.

Mopar’s collision guidance calls for pre-repair and post-repair scans; a clear dashboard alone does not establish that every system is operating correctly. Vehicle-specific procedures determine the additional work.

Before you visit

A few more questions, answered.

Is the estimate free, and what should I bring?

Yes, our preliminary visual estimate is free. Bring your vehicle information, contact details, claim number and any insurer estimate you have. Photos and a description of the accident help, too. Disassembly or diagnostic work is separate from a visual estimate; we explain the proposed next step and authorization before proceeding.

Can you inspect my Jeep 4xe or Pacifica Hybrid after an accident?

Call with the VIN, model year, drivetrain and damage details first. We will review the vehicle-specific requirements and confirm what our facility can handle, including any specialist work, before you arrange delivery. Certification alone is not a promise that every high-voltage or battery procedure can be performed here.

How long will my body repair take?

We can discuss scheduling after reviewing the damage. Parts availability, hidden damage, repair procedures and claim decisions all affect completion. We explain what the current estimate depends on and update you when the plan changes, rather than promising a fixed turnaround before inspection.

Can you help arrange a rental vehicle?

Yes, we can help coordinate a rental where insurance coverage or other arrangements exist. Confirm the daily allowance, total limit, eligibility and any out-of-pocket costs with the provider. A rental is not automatically included with every repair.

Do I need to use a dealership for a certified collision repair?

No. Universal Motorcars is an independent collision repair business, and its Spring Mountain facility appears in Mopar’s official certified-facility locator. You can verify the listing above and discuss your specific vehicle and repair needs directly with us.
