How do I check that a shop is certified for my GM vehicle?
Start with GM’s official collision locator. Search 89146 to find Universal Motorcars at 5585 Spring Mountain Road. Then check the specialty program for your vehicle: GM treats Corvette C8 and EV qualifications separately from basic network requirements. We’ll review your model and proposed repair with you.
The estimate says “OEM.” Does that always mean a new GM part?
Ask which part is being supplied. A new GM Original Equipment part, a recycled original part and an aftermarket replacement are different choices. We’ll go over the estimate with you, explain our recommended parts and discuss any insurer or customer payment difference before you authorize the work.
Can a small bumper hit need more than paint?
Yes. The visible cover can hide damaged brackets, reinforcement or nearby sensors. We inspect the affected area and check the repair requirements before deciding whether repair, replacement or calibration is needed. A photo or first visual estimate can’t show everything behind the cover.
Can you estimate a scratch or dent without an insurance claim?
