YOUR NEXT STEP AFTER AN ACCIDENT
After an accident,
you deserve a clear next step.
An accident leaves you with enough to deal with. Finding a Las Vegas auto body shop, understanding the insurance estimate and figuring out transportation shouldn’t make it harder.
At Universal Motorcars, start with people who listen and an in-person look at your vehicle. We’ll discuss the visible damage, any changes in how your car drives and what needs a closer inspection. Our collision and mechanical teams work together to plan body, paint and accident-related mechanical repairs.
We work with all insurance companies. When you choose us for repairs, we handle follow-up on repair estimates, supplements and payments, keeping you informed along the way. You can choose your licensed body shop—even if your insurer recommends somewhere else.
Call our Spring Mountain or Post Road team to arrange your free preliminary visual estimate. If your vehicle isn’t drivable, we can arrange towing. Before repair drop-off, we’ll explain the authorization, inspection process and next steps.

LOOKING BEYOND THE VISIBLE DAMAGE
Body damage is visible.
The whole repair may not be.
A rear-end impact can affect bumper supports, sensors, mounting points or the area beneath the trunk floor. A side impact can involve a wheel or suspension as well as the doors. Our inspection follows the damage and the vehicle’s repair requirements, including concerns that are not obvious in the first photos.
Universal Motorcars brings collision and mechanical teams together to coordinate bodywork with related steering, suspension, alignment and diagnostic needs. Tell us about a new pull, vibration, leak or warning message so it becomes part of the inspection.

Body & panel repair
Dented doors, damaged fenders, scratches and cracked paint deserve an in-person inspection. We assess the panel material, paint finish, surrounding damage and repair requirements before planning dent removal, panel repair or replacement. Tell us if a door, bumper or body panel no longer lines up correctly.
Paint & refinishing
We consider the existing finish when matching and blending the repaired area. Las Vegas sun exposure, previous paintwork and metallic color variation can affect the match; the paint code is a starting point.
Bumpers & exterior damage
For a cracked or scraped bumper, we assess repair versus replacement and the finish work needed. After an impact, supports, mounting points and sensors may need inspection behind the outer cover.
Structural evaluation
When the impact suggests more extensive damage, measurements and manufacturer repair information help determine the next steps for affected structural areas.
Suspension & alignment
A pull, vibration, uneven tire wear or a steering wheel that is no longer centered can point to accident-related mechanical concerns worth inspecting.
Scanning & calibration
The vehicle, affected components and repair procedures determine whether scanning, alignment, calibration or a relearn is required. These steps are not identical for every repair.
AUTO BODY REPAIR & INSURANCE COORDINATION
Your estimate. Your claim.
A repair plan you understand.
Universal Motorcars works with all insurance companies on repairs performed with us. We take the follow-up off your plate by communicating with the insurer about repair estimates, supplement approvals and repair payments, and keeping you informed along the way. Bring your claim number and any existing estimate to the initial visit. Reviewing an estimate alone does not establish hidden damage or allow us to prepare a hidden-damage supplement.
After you authorize repairs and leave the vehicle with us, we perform teardown and inspect for hidden accident-related damage. Supplements are a normal part of most collision repairs in our team’s experience. We document hidden damage and additional repair requirements for insurer review. Required scans and calibrations can also be added to later or final supplements as they are completed and documented; the full repair cost may develop in stages. Supplement-related teardown is part of the repair process: the vehicle stays with us for repairs. We do not offer teardown just to obtain a supplement, followed by reassembly for the vehicle to be driven away. For covered repairs approved under a first-party claim through your own insurance, your responsibility is your applicable deductible. We explain any proposed work outside the approved claim before asking you to authorize it.
You can choose your licensed body shop in Nevada. An insurer’s recommendation does not require you to use that shop. Nevada NRS 690B.016 explains that right and the limits on what an insurer must pay.

FROM THE FIRST CONVERSATION TO DELIVERY
You deserve to understand the plan.
Tell us what happened.
We listen to your concerns, review the visible damage and identify what needs inspection.

Understand the cost.
We explain the proposed work and charges. Once you authorize repairs and leave the vehicle with us, teardown and a hidden-damage inspection establish the repair scope and any supplement.

Plan the timing.
The schedule depends on repair complexity, parts, approvals and required checks. We discuss the expected steps and changes that affect delivery.

Check the finished work.
Final checks reflect the repair: finish and fit, plus applicable scans, alignment or calibration. We explain the completed work and warranty.

PRACTICAL ANSWERS AFTER AN ACCIDENT
Before your visit.
How do I get an estimate after an accident?
Start with a call to Spring Mountain at 702-754-6774 or Post Road at 702-430-1000. We’ll arrange a time to look at your vehicle in person. Bring your claim number and insurance estimate if you have them. The preliminary visual estimate is free. If you choose us for repairs, we’ll explain the next steps before you leave your car with us.
Do you work with my insurance? Can I choose your shop?
Yes—we work with all insurance companies. When we repair your vehicle, we handle the follow-up on estimates, supplements and repair payments, and keep you in the loop. You don’t have to navigate the repair paperwork on your own. In Nevada, you can choose your licensed body shop, even if your insurer recommends somewhere else.
Your estimate is higher than my insurance estimate. Do I pay the difference?
A higher estimate does not automatically mean you pay the difference. The first insurance estimate often leaves out damage that cannot be seen yet. During repairs, we document what the vehicle needs and work with your insurer on approval and payment. For covered, approved repairs through your own insurance, you pay your applicable deductible. If there’s a coverage issue or work outside the approved claim, we’ll talk it through with you before asking you to authorize it.
What is a supplement, and why might my car need one?
A supplement is a request to add necessary work or costs to the insurance repair estimate. In our experience, most collision repairs need one. Teardown can reveal hidden damage, and required scans or calibrations may be added later, once they’re completed and documented. We prepare the supporting information and follow up with your insurer as the repair moves forward.
Can you take my car apart for a supplement, then give it back without repairs?
We don’t offer that as a separate service. Teardown means removing parts to inspect the damage underneath. At Universal Motorcars, it’s part of a repair job you’ve authorized, and the vehicle stays with us for repairs. Simply putting damaged parts back together does not make the car safe to drive. We’ll explain the repair plan and drop-off arrangements before you leave it with us.
My bumper looks okay after a rear-end accident. Should I still have it checked?
Yes. The bumper cover can hide damage to supports, sensors or the area behind it. Let us know if the trunk won’t close properly, a warning light has appeared or the car feels different to drive. We’ll inspect it in person and explain what needs a closer look. Some hidden damage only becomes visible when parts are removed during repairs.
Can you fix the body damage and the way my car drives?
Yes. Our collision and mechanical teams work together on accident-related body, paint, steering, suspension and alignment repairs. Tell us if your car pulls to one side, vibrates or shows a new warning light after the accident. We’ll include those concerns in the repair plan, along with any scans or calibrations your vehicle needs.
How much will repairs cost, and when will I get my car back?
We’ll know more once we inspect your car. The damage, parts, paint work and required testing all affect the cost and timing. Hidden damage, parts delays or insurance approvals can change the plan. We’ll explain the expected steps and keep you updated if something affects the price or pickup date.
My car isn’t drivable. Can you help with towing or a rental?
Yes. Call Spring Mountain at 702-754-6774 or Post Road at 702-430-1000, and we’ll arrange towing to the right location. We can also help coordinate a rental car. We’ll explain availability and charges; what insurance pays depends on your policy or claim.
Is your repair work covered by a warranty?
Our collision paint and workmanship come with a limited lifetime warranty while the original owner keeps the vehicle, under the written warranty terms. It does not transfer to a new owner. Eligible mechanical repairs have North American Warranty coverage for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. We’ll explain the coverage and exclusions that apply to your repair.
