Verified Corvette C8 credentials

Corvette C8 specialty certification you can verify.

Universal Motorcars at 5585 Spring Mountain Rd is listed with Corvette C8 specialty certification, alongside GM Basic certification. C8 is a distinct specialty within the GM Collision Repair Network.

GM’s C8 program requires specialty training, C8 tooling and equipment, and a dedicated aluminum work area with dust extraction and process controls. The program also provides access to restricted C8 structural parts. These requirements matter when damage reaches beyond an exterior panel.

For your car, we identify the model year, materials and affected systems, then use vehicle-specific repair information to plan the work. Certification is facility-specific; it does not mean every Corvette generation or specialized operation has the same qualification.

Look beyond the first scratch

Protecting the details starts with understanding the damage.

A scraped bumper, a parking impact or a harder collision can each call for a different repair plan. We look at fit, finish and the components behind the visible damage—not just the surface that needs paint.

Tell us about new warning lights, unusual noises, pulling or a change in how your Corvette drives. Those details help us connect body damage with accident-related mechanical and electronic concerns.

01 / BODY & STRUCTURE

Panels, bumpers & the structure beneath

We assess damaged bumpers, fenders, doors and body panels for repair or replacement. Structural work is planned from inspection findings and the applicable GM procedures, including material-specific requirements.

02 / PAINT & FINISH

Color, finish & panel fit

Paint matching and refinishing are planned around the affected panels and existing finish. We explain the repair area and any recommended blending, then check appearance and panel fit as part of the completed work.

03 / ACCIDENT-RELATED SYSTEMS

Wheels, suspension & electronics

An impact can affect steering, suspension, alignment, sensors or cameras. Inspection, scans and calibration requirements depend on the model, damage and operations performed. We explain the checks included in your repair plan.

Your Corvette. Its own repair plan.

C6, C7, C8—and the generations before them.

We repair all Corvette generations. Bring us your newer or older Corvette for accident damage, body repairs or refinishing, and we’ll assess the work it needs individually.

Materials, previous repairs and parts availability differ across the Corvette range. We review those details before recommending repair options. Our C8 specialty credential applies to C8 collision work; older-generation repairs are evaluated on their own requirements.

For a specialty variant, tell us the exact model and equipment before arranging transport. We’ll confirm the repair scope rather than assume one procedure fits every Corvette.

Real people. Clear next steps.

We help with the repair—and the decisions around it.

Using insurance?

Bring your claim number, adjuster information and any estimate you already have. We review the estimate, document damage and communicate with the adjuster about the repair scope. When further inspection or authorized disassembly reveals additional accident-related damage, we prepare supporting documentation and submit a supplement.

We discuss parts choices and any differences between the repair plan and insurer’s estimate with you. Coverage and payment depend on the claim and policy; OEM parts are not automatically approved in every repair.

Paying yourself? You’re welcome here.

We’ll review the damage with you, explain appropriate repair options and provide an estimate before authorized work begins. A free preliminary visual estimate covers what we can see; disassembly, diagnostics or other detailed inspections may carry charges, which we discuss before proceeding.

If your Corvette isn’t drivable, call us. We arrange towing and authorized impound pickup, coordinating transport around the vehicle’s clearance and condition. Rental arrangements can also be coordinated when applicable coverage or arrangements are available.

1. Talk & inspect

Tell us what happened. We inspect visible damage, review your concerns and explain the initial estimate.

2. Confirm the scope

With authorization, further inspection or disassembly identifies hidden damage. We explain changes and document any supplement.

3. Repair & update

Parts, bodywork, refinishing and required system checks follow the repair plan. We keep you informed about scope changes and parts-related delays.

4. Check & hand over

We complete the checks required for the work performed, review the repair with you and explain any remaining recommendations at pickup.

Before you bring it in

A few questions Corvette owners ask.

Can you tell from photos whether my Corvette is repairable?

Photos are a useful starting point, but they don’t show everything behind a bumper or panel. Send them through our virtual request and we’ll explain the next step. An in-person inspection—and sometimes authorized disassembly—is needed to establish the repair scope. A total-loss decision also involves the insurer’s valuation and claim assessment.

Should I drive it if the damage looks minor?

Don’t drive it if a tire rubs, steering feels different, fluid is leaking, a panel is loose or a warning light appears after the impact. Visible damage alone cannot establish that the car is safe to drive. Call us to discuss the condition and arrange transport if there’s any doubt.

Will my insurance pay for GM original parts?

That depends on your coverage and the claim. We explain the parts in the repair plan and discuss GM repair requirements with the adjuster. If the insurer’s allowance differs, we walk you through the difference before you approve the work.

How long will my Corvette repair take?

We give you an expected timeline after reviewing the damage and available parts. Hidden damage, additional approvals, specialized parts or required checks can change that timeline. We’ll explain what changed and keep you informed as the repair progresses.
