Two ways to pay. The same personal attention.

Using insurance or paying yourself?
We’ll explain the options.

Silver Cadillac LYRIQ with damaged hood and front bumper removed, exposing components behind it
With the front bumper removed, more of this Cadillac LYRIQ’s underlying components are visible. A first visual estimate cannot show everything behind a panel.

Why the first estimate can change

The visible damage is only the starting point.

During authorized disassembly, we inspect areas that were covered when the first estimate was written. We document additional damage and explain what it means for your repair, cost and expected pickup.

For an insurance repair, that documentation supports a supplement. For self-pay work, we review the revised estimate with you before you authorize additional repairs.

Help with your insurance repair

Bring your claim number, the insurer’s estimate and adjuster contact details if you have them. We review the damage, prepare our estimate and communicate with the insurer about the repairs.

After you authorize repairs and leave the vehicle with us, disassembly can reveal damage the first estimate couldn’t show. We photograph and document those findings, submit supplements and follow up on repair approvals.

We’re an independent shop working with insurers on our customers’ repairs. We explain your deductible and any proposed charges outside the approved claim before you authorize the work. Coverage and payment decisions remain with the insurer.

No claim required

Self-pay repairs are welcome.

Maybe you scraped a bumper, damaged a door or simply want to understand the cost before deciding what to do. Start with an inspection.

We discuss your priorities, explain appropriate repair options and provide an estimate before authorized work begins. When repair and replacement are both suitable, we explain the difference.

If further inspection reveals more damage, we discuss the added work and cost with you before proceeding.

Getting here. Getting around.

If your car isn’t drivable,
we can help get it here.

Airbags deployed, the vehicle won’t start or it cannot be driven? Call before arranging transport to Post Road. We’ll review where it is and coordinate towing and an inspection before confirming the repair scope.

Towing

We arrange towing for vehicles that aren’t drivable. Tell us the vehicle type and location so we can coordinate the appropriate transport and explain the arrangements and charges.

Impound pickup

If the car is in an impound yard, we explain the required authorization and coordinate release and pickup. We review the yard’s requirements and charges with you.

Rental coordination

When your policy or claim includes rental benefits, we help coordinate arrangements and clarify approved dates, daily limits and billing. Rental benefits have limits. We help you confirm the approved return date and discuss costs beyond those benefits.

From first contact to pickup

Know where your repair stands.

  1. Inspect & estimate

We look at the visible damage, hear your concerns and explain the preliminary estimate and next steps.

  2. Confirm the scope

After authorization and drop-off, further inspection and disassembly establish the repair plan. We document hidden damage and coordinate supplements and parts.

  3. Repair & update

We carry out the planned work and keep you informed. Hidden damage, parts availability, insurer review and required procedures can change cost or timing.

  4. Check & explain

Final checks address the work performed, including fit, finish and required system checks. At pickup, we review the completed repairs and care instructions.

Before you bring it in

After an accident: your repair questions answered.

Where can I take my car after an accident in Las Vegas?

Bring it to Universal Motorcars at 3570 W Post Road, Las Vegas, NV 89118. Our family-owned team handles bumper, panel, paint and structural accident repairs, with help documenting damage and coordinating insurance-related work. Self-pay repairs are welcome, too. Call 702-430-1000 to arrange an inspection or let us know if the vehicle needs towing.

My car isn’t drivable after the accident. Can you collect it?

Yes—we can arrange towing to Post Road. If it’s in an impound yard, we can coordinate release and pickup with the required authorization. Call us with the vehicle’s location before arranging transport. We’ll explain the next steps and review the towing or yard charges with you.

Can I bring my car to Universal if my insurance company recommends another shop?

Yes. You can choose a licensed body shop in Nevada; you don’t have to use the insurer’s preferred shop. Universal is independent, and we communicate with insurers about our customers’ repairs. Send us your claim number and any estimate you’ve received. We’ll explain the repair plan and discuss any difference between the insurer’s approved payment and the proposed work before you authorize it. Nevada’s shop-choice law protects your choice, but does not guarantee payment of every charge.

Why can the repair cost change after an accident, even if I already have an estimate?

An initial estimate describes the damage visible at that point. A bumper or panel can hide damage that only becomes clear during authorized disassembly. Estimates can also differ in the parts, paint work and required system checks they include. We’ll walk through those differences with you. If authorized disassembly reveals more damage, we document it and send the insurer a supplement—a request for payment for the additional repair work. For self-pay repairs, we review the added cost with you before proceeding.

Can I pay for accident repairs myself instead of using insurance?

Absolutely. You don’t need a claim to bring your car to us. We’ll inspect the damage, discuss suitable repair options and give you an estimate before you authorize work. Sometimes a repair is appropriate; sometimes damaged mounts, material or parts behind the surface make replacement necessary. Tell us your priorities and budget—we’ll explain what the options involve, without assuming the most expensive route is the right one.

Can you use original manufacturer parts on my car?

Tell us you want OEM parts when we review the estimate. We explain the parts specified for your repair and support requests for original parts with the relevant repair requirements. Insurance approval is a separate decision, so we discuss any proposed price difference with you before you authorize it. We won’t promise that every policy covers OEM parts, or leave you guessing about what is being proposed.

Can Post Road handle my Tesla’s body damage and accident-related mechanical problems?

Yes. Our Post Road team handles Tesla body, paint and collision repairs as well as Tesla mechanical work. Tell us about warning messages, new noises or changes in how the car drives—not just the visible damage. We assess the repair needs and coordinate required alignment, scans and calibration steps based on the vehicle and manufacturer procedures. See our Tesla accident-repair services.

How long will it take to repair my car after an accident?

We’ll discuss timing at the first inspection and refine it once we understand the damage, required parts and repair steps. A small-looking impact can involve more work behind the panel, and parts availability or insurer review can change the schedule. We keep you informed as work progresses and explain changes to the expected pickup date, so you understand what’s finished and what is still being resolved.
