Can I choose Universal if my insurer recommends another shop?
Yes. In Nevada, you can choose a licensed body shop. Let your insurer know you’d like to use Universal Motorcars, then bring us your claim number and any estimate you’ve received. We’ll work with the adjuster on the repair paperwork and discuss your deductible or other expected costs with you.
Why can the final repair cost differ from the first estimate?
The first estimate can only cover the damage found at that point. For example, a broken bracket or damaged wiring may only become visible after a bumper comes off. With your car here and your permission to inspect further, we document the extra accident damage and send your insurer an updated estimate, called a supplement. We’ll go over changes and any expected cost to you before you approve more work.
How much does Hyundai bumper or body repair cost?
A scraped bumper and a bumper with broken mounts or damaged sensors are very different jobs, even on the same Hyundai. Bring yours in for a free estimate of the visible damage. We’ll go through the bodywork, paint, parts and checks it needs. If taking parts off or further inspection will carry a charge, you’ll know before you agree to it.
How long will my Hyundai repair take?
We’ll give you an estimated timeframe after seeing the damage and checking parts availability. A paint repair takes a different amount of work from a collision involving the structure or sensors. If we’re waiting for a part or find more damage, we’ll keep you updated about the pickup date. Need a rental? Ask us for help with arrangements, and check any coverage limits with your insurer.
Can I drive my Hyundai after a collision?
Even if the car still runs, it may not be safe to drive. If there are warning lights, leaks, damaged tires, steering changes or loose parts, arrange an inspection before driving. For an EV with an underbody impact, battery warnings, heat, smoke or unusual odors, keep clear and contact emergency services when there is an immediate hazard. What warranty applies to the repair?
Universal Motorcars backs our collision-repair paint and workmanship with a limited lifetime warranty for as long as the original owner keeps the vehicle. We’ll go over the written coverage and exclusions with you at pickup. The warranty isn’t transferable, and parts or mechanical repairs may have separate terms.
