Your Lexus. Our attention.

Considered from
every angle.

A parking-lot impact, a damaged bumper, a hard hit at an intersection—each calls for a different plan.

We regularly work on Lexus vehicles at both Las Vegas collision locations. Tell us what happened, which model you drive and whether it can be moved safely. We’ll help arrange the next step.

Good repairs begin
with the details.

The body, the paint and the systems affected by the impact all belong in your repair plan.

01 / BODYWORK

Repair or replace?
It depends on the damage.

Bumpers, doors, fenders and quarter panels are assessed for damage depth, location, material and access. A panel that looks repairable may have damaged mounting points or reinforcement behind it.

We explain the proposed repair and parts choices. The vehicle’s repair information, condition and parts availability help guide the decision—not the photograph alone.

02 / PAINT & FINISH

A paint match is more than a color code.

We evaluate the existing Lexus finish and plan the color match, test spray and any blending needed for the repair. Before work proceeds, we explain which panels will be refinished and why.

03 / REPAIR PLANNING

Look beyond the panel gaps.

A harder impact can affect structural mounting points, suspension or steering components. A new vibration or steering pull deserves attention even when the body damage seems modest.

Further inspection and measurements help establish the repair scope. Accident-related mechanical checks, alignment and any required specialist work are coordinated as part of that plan.

Specific to your Lexus

Look closer.
Plan further.

A Lexus bumper, grille or windshield may sit beside—or in front of—driver-assistance sensors. Model year, equipment and the repairs determine what needs checking.

Sensor areas affect repair choices.

We check the applicable Lexus instructions before planning bumper repairs near radar sensors or their mounting points. The repair method must account for the equipment behind the cover.

The model and powertrain matter.

We discuss collision repairs for Lexus sedans and SUVs, including ES, IS, LS, RX, NX and GX models. Bring the VIN so we can identify the vehicle’s equipment and repair requirements.

Hybrid or electric? Tell us early.

For a Lexus hybrid, plug-in hybrid or RZ, tell us the model and where it was hit before arranging arrival. Do not touch exposed wires, high-voltage components or leaking battery fluid. We confirm the work we can undertake, appropriate transport and any specialist involvement before accepting the repair.

Have an older Lexus or a model not listed? Call with the model year, VIN and a description of the damage.

A plan you can follow

A clear next step.
At every stage.

Start with a free preliminary visual collision estimate. We’ll explain what we can see, what needs inspection and what happens next.

01

Bring the Lexus and your questions.

We review visible damage and your concerns. Bring your claim details and any warning messages. Photos can help plan the visit; neither photos nor a preliminary visual estimate can establish all hidden damage or the final cost.

02

Authorize the next stage.

We explain further inspection or disassembly and any charges before you authorize it. Disassembly for a repair supplement is part of an authorized repair with the Lexus staying at our shop.

03

Document what the inspection reveals.

Newly identified damage is photographed and added to a supplement. We coordinate the documentation with your insurer, explain changes to you, and confirm authorization for the revised scope.

04

Repair, check and review.

Bodywork, refinishing and the required mechanical or electronic work follow the repair plan. Final checks address the work performed. At delivery, we review the repairs, warranty and any follow-up instructions.

Personal attention. Practical help.

The car.
The claim.
The conversation.

Accident repairs involve more than the vehicle. We help coordinate the details and explain where a decision, approval or document is still needed.

Insurance coordination

We work with the claim information you provide, document repair needs and communicate about supplements. Insurer review, policy terms, deductibles and coverage decisions affect what is paid.

Self-pay repairs

Paying directly? We explain the proposed scope and cost so you can decide how to proceed. Ask questions about repair options and parts before authorizing the work.

Towing & impound pickup

Call us to coordinate a tow or an authorized impound pickup. We confirm the vehicle’s location, release requirements, destination and any applicable charges.

Rental coordination

We can help coordinate rental arrangements where applicable. Availability, eligibility, coverage limits and any out-of-pocket cost should be confirmed before the rental begins.

Lexus collision repair FAQs

Clear answers.
Before you decide.

Questions about your Lexus, the repair plan and getting back on the road.

Where can I take my Lexus after an accident in Las Vegas?

Both Universal Motorcars locations handle Lexus collision repairs: 3570 W Post Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89118, and 5585 Spring Mountain Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89146. We regularly repair Lexus body, bumper and paint damage and coordinate accident-related checks. Call your preferred team with the model year, where the car was hit and any warning messages or changes in handling. We’ll arrange a free preliminary visual estimate or discuss towing. When comparing shops, ask to see Lexus repair examples and have the team explain the proposed parts, paint work and required system checks.

Is Universal Motorcars a Lexus-certified collision center?

No. Universal Motorcars is an independent collision repair shop, not a Lexus manufacturer-certified collision center. We regularly repair Lexus vehicles and plan the work around the vehicle’s equipment, damage and applicable repair information. Our I-CAR Gold Class recognition and 2025 Best of Las Vegas Gold Collision Center award are separate credentials; neither is Lexus endorsement. Ask us about the Lexus vehicles pictured on this page, how required scans or calibration will be handled, and the written paint and workmanship warranty for your repair.

Do I have to use the body shop my insurance company recommends?

No. Nevada law lets you choose a licensed body shop, even when your insurer recommends another one. That choice does not automatically require the insurer to pay every proposed charge. Bring your claim number and insurer’s estimate so we can review the repair items, document what your Lexus needs and coordinate with the adjuster. We’ll explain any unresolved coverage or payment difference before asking you to authorize work. You can read the shop-choice rule in Nevada NRS 690B.016.

Can you repair my Lexus bumper, or does it need replacing?

Some bumper damage can be repaired, but a small mark does not tell us whether repair is appropriate. We check the cover, its attachments and the components behind it. On an equipped Lexus, damage near blind-spot radar or a sensor mounting point can change the decision: filler, repairs and added paint thickness may affect sensor operation. The applicable Lexus procedure for your model year and equipment guides the recommendation. Start with an inspection, even if the cover has sprung back into shape; hidden damage cannot be ruled out from a photograph. Our bumper repair guide explains the options.

Why might a Lexus paint estimate include an undamaged adjoining panel?

Blending into an adjoining panel may be needed to make the repaired area’s color transition look natural. Blending means gradually extending the new color into the surrounding finish, then applying clear coat as the refinishing system requires. Pearl and metallic Lexus colors can look different as the light or viewing angle changes; the paint code alone does not settle the match. We evaluate the existing finish and use a test spray where needed before deciding on the painted area. Ask us to identify which panels need repair, which need blending and why. See our paint and refinishing service.

Do my Lexus sensors need calibration if there are no warning lights?

They may. A clear dashboard does not prove that a camera or radar sensor is correctly aimed after an impact or repair. A diagnostic scan reads stored fault information; calibration establishes the alignment or reference a system needs to work correctly. Neither replaces checking damaged brackets or mounting points. We review the requirements for your model year, equipment and repair operations, including affected Lexus Safety System+, parking sensors and cameras. Ask which scans, calibrations or operational checks are included in your estimate and how their completion will be documented. A bumper repair does not trigger an identical procedure on every Lexus.

Why is the repair estimate higher than my insurance company’s first estimate?

The estimates may cover different damage, parts or repair operations; a higher total alone does not explain the difference. A preliminary visual or photo estimate cannot show everything behind a bumper or panel. Once you authorize repairs and leave the Lexus with us, disassembly and testing may reveal additional needs. We document those findings and submit a supplement—a request to add necessary work or costs to the insurer’s estimate. That request still needs review. We explain changes, obtain authorization for the revised work and discuss any unresolved payment difference. Learn how to compare the estimates.

Can I request genuine Lexus OEM parts for my collision repair?

Yes. At Universal Motorcars, we advocate for genuine Lexus parts, often called OEM parts. We explain why we recommend them for your repair and support our request to the insurance company with photos and Lexus repair information.

Whether insurance pays for those parts depends on your vehicle, the claim and the coverage available. We can make the case for OEM parts, but we can’t guarantee approval or full payment. If the insurer proposes a different part or won’t cover the full cost, we’ll review the proposed part, explain your options and discuss any cost difference before you authorize the work. Read our parts guide.

Should I pay for minor Lexus body damage myself or use insurance?

Start with an inspection and estimate before deciding. Self-pay repairs are welcome, and a small-looking scrape can involve more than refinishing if attachments or sensors are affected. Compare the proposed repair cost with your applicable deductible—the amount you pay on a covered claim under your own policy. Also consider what remains uninspected and ask your insurer about coverage, claim requirements and any possible premium effect; we cannot predict that. We’ll explain suitable repair options and any further inspection charges before you authorize work, so you can make the decision with a clearer picture of the damage.

How long will my Lexus repair take, and can you help with a rental?

We can give a more useful timeframe after inspecting the damage and identifying the parts and repair steps. Parts availability, hidden damage, insurer review, refinishing and required testing can change the expected pickup date. We’ll explain what is complete, what is pending and when to expect the next update. We can also help coordinate a rental, but availability and payment depend on the arrangement and your coverage or claim. Confirm the approved rental dates, daily allowance and total limit before booking; rental coverage may end before repairs are finished. Ask about any extension before the approved return date.
