Commercial collision & refinishing
A hood, bumper or cab impact can affect how the truck fits, functions and drives. We look at the damage as a whole.
Our Post Road team handles commercial truck collision repairs, bodywork, panel repairs and painting. We assess damaged components and surrounding areas, then explain what can be repaired, what needs replacement and what requires further inspection.

Know what happens next
Bring your claim number, adjuster’s contact details and any estimate already prepared. We document the damage and communicate with the adjuster about the proposed repairs.
A preliminary estimate covers the damage we can see. Once repair work and disassembly are authorized, hidden damage may change the scope. We document those findings and submit supported supplements for insurer review.
We discuss your deductible and any proposed out-of-pocket costs before you authorize the work.
You can bring us a damaged truck without opening an insurance claim. We inspect it, explain suitable repair options and provide an estimate for the agreed scope.
Comparing estimates? Look at the parts, labor, refinishing areas and inspection or disassembly included—not just the total. Bring another estimate and we’ll explain any differences in our proposed work.
If further damage changes the plan, we review the added work and cost with you before proceeding.
From first call to pickup
Share your vehicle details, its location and whether it can be driven. We coordinate the assessment and discuss transport when needed.
We inspect and document visible damage, review your concerns and explain the proposed repair scope and authorization.
We carry out the authorized repairs and discuss changes involving hidden damage, parts or insurance review as they arise.
We check the work performed and walk you through the completed repairs and care instructions at pickup.

Mechanical service at Post Road
A warning light, weak A/C or a truck that no longer drives right deserves a clear diagnosis and a repair plan.
Universal Motorcars handles mechanical repairs and routine service for commercial trucks, semi-truck tractors, box trucks, delivery vehicles and work trucks at Post Road. You can bring us a mechanical problem or scheduled service need without an accident or insurance claim.
Hard starting, rough running, loss of power or a warning light? We investigate the symptoms, review relevant fault information and test the affected systems before recommending repairs. Tell us when the problem occurs—at startup, while idling, under load or after an impact—and bring any previous diagnostic report.
Pulling under braking, vibration, unusual noise or a change in stopping performance needs inspection. We check the braking concern and explain the condition of the affected components, the proposed repair and the cost before work begins. Describe the truck and its brake system when arranging the visit.
If the truck pulls, wears tires unevenly, rides differently or develops a new vibration, we inspect the suspension and steering and assess its alignment. After a wheel impact or collision, the repair plan starts with the condition of the affected components and the work needed to correct the problem.
Tell us whether the cab air is warm, airflow is weak, the engine runs hot or coolant is leaking. These symptoms call for different checks. We diagnose the A/C or cooling concern and explain the repair. If the truck overheats or shows a stop-engine warning, stop safely and arrange assistance before continuing.
A truck that will not start, repeatedly loses battery charge or has lighting and electrical faults can disrupt an entire route. We test the starting or charging concern and inspect the relevant wiring, connections and components. Mention intermittent faults and any recent collision or repair work when you call.
Bring your maintenance history, mileage and engine hours where available. We review the service needs for your vehicle and its use, explain what is due and discuss any repair concerns found during inspection. For a fleet, identify each unit and its availability so we can plan visits and approvals with your team.
Start with the truck and the symptoms. Share its year, make, model and engine, where it is now, and what changed. We confirm the work involved and explain diagnostic charges before you authorize the inspection.
Bodywork + mechanical repair
Tell us about pulling, vibration, warning lights, fluid leaks or anything that changed after the impact. We assess accident-related mechanical concerns alongside the body damage so they can be included in the repair plan.
We inspect the affected areas and document mechanical findings related to the accident. That documentation helps explain the work alongside the body repair and supports the insurance review. Any unrelated maintenance recommendations are discussed separately.
Bring any earlier estimate or diagnostic report, and tell us which symptoms began after the impact.

Before you bring it in
Do not assume a vehicle is safe because it starts or moves. If braking, steering, tires or wheels may be affected, parts are loose, fluids are leaking or you are unsure, stop using the vehicle and arrange a professional assessment. Call us with its location before arranging transport so we can discuss arrival and towing coordination.
The schedule depends on the damage, parts availability, repair procedures and any insurer review. A visible-damage estimate is a starting point; authorized disassembly can reveal more work. We discuss the expected schedule once the repair scope is understood and explain changes as they arise.
