Bumpers, grilles & front ends
We assess covers, reinforcement, mounting points, lamps and nearby cooling components. A bumper that looks repairable may have damage behind it; a broken bracket can change the plan.

GM-certified Chevrolet collision repair
Universal Motorcars’ Spring Mountain facility is certified through the GM Collision Repair Network for GM collision repairs, including Chevrolet. The program sets standards for training, equipment, access to repair information and repair procedures.
For you, that means the conversation starts with the procedures for your vehicle, rather than assuming every dent, material or sensor can be handled the same way.
GM’s core program requires I-CAR Gold Class status and role-based training. Its additional specialties have their own requirements.
Program requirements cover equipment and access to GM service information, so the repair plan can address your vehicle’s materials, joining methods and systems.
Everyday damage and accident repairs
A door scraped against a garage, a dent from a parking lot or a damaged Silverado bed can all be worth fixing. We assess the paint, panel and affected components, then explain what the repair actually involves.

We assess covers, reinforcement, mounting points, lamps and nearby cooling components. A bumper that looks repairable may have damage behind it; a broken bracket can change the plan.
Scratches, door dings and larger dents need different approaches. We look at paint damage, panel shape and access; for heavier damage, fit, hinges, latches and underlying components also help determine repair versus replacement.
For Silverado and Colorado pickups, tell us about bed accessories, steps, tonneau covers and towing equipment. We check the affected attachments as well as the damaged metal.
A scuff on the surface is different from a scratch through the paint. We assess the depth and finish before recommending surface correction or paint repair. When refinishing is needed, we plan preparation, color matching and any necessary blending around the repair area. See our auto painting and refinishing services.
An impact can affect structural dimensions, wheels, suspension or steering. We assess those concerns and use vehicle-specific procedures for the work identified, including structural repair when appropriate.
GM calls for diagnostic scans before and after collision repairs. Your vehicle’s equipment and the work performed determine the necessary calibrations or relearns. A clear dashboard alone is not the whole check. See GM’s scan guidance.
If your Chevy pulls, rubs a tire, leaks fluid, shows a warning or feels different after the accident, tell us before driving it in. Call to discuss transport if it may be unsafe to drive.
Built around your model and its equipment
We work with current and older Chevrolet vehicles. Give us the year, model and VIN so we can confirm the repair scope and parts before arranging drop-off.
A Silverado or Colorado used for work may have racks or other upfits that affect access and repair planning. On a Tahoe, Suburban, Equinox or Traverse, an impact can involve liftgate hardware, parking sensors or camera mounts as well as body panels.
Have a Chevrolet Express van? Tell us about its configuration, height and any conversion equipment so we can plan the right intake.
Camaro, Malibu and earlier Chevrolet models deserve a plan based on their year, materials and condition. Parts availability can be especially important with an older vehicle.
For a Bolt EV/EUV, Equinox EV, Blazer EV or Silverado EV, tell us it’s electric when you call. Collision assessment and electrification-system work have different requirements.

Chevrolet fleet & commercial collision repair
From a Silverado work truck to an Express service van, start with a repair plan your business can act on.
Our Spring Mountain credentials include the GM Fleet specialty, listed separately from the core GM program on our facility’s certification profile. We document damage, review estimates and communicate with the person authorized to approve repairs.

Send the year, VIN, unit number and damage photos. Tell us about racks, toolboxes, service bodies, cargo-door problems or other upfits, plus the vehicle’s size and configuration. We confirm the repair scope and facility before drop-off.
Name your fleet contact and tell us whether repairs are self-pay or part of an insurance claim. Bring the insurer’s estimate and any fleet authorization requirements. We document additional damage and explain supplements before added work is approved.
We discuss timing after assessment and update you when parts, approvals or the repair scope change. Ask about transport and rental coordination early; a suitable replacement work vehicle depends on availability and your arrangements.
For larger commercial trucks and broader fleet maintenance, see our commercial truck and fleet services. GM credentials on this page belong to Spring Mountain; we confirm the appropriate location for your vehicle.

Electric Chevrolet collision repairs
Our Spring Mountain facility holds GM’s Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) specialty certification, with GM Electric Vehicles listed on our facility profile. That specialty adds training and equipment requirements for collision work around high-voltage systems.
For a Bolt EV/EUV, Equinox EV, Blazer EV or Silverado EV, tell us the model and what happened before arranging transport. We confirm the collision-repair scope, safety procedures and any GM EV dealer involvement needed for electrification work. For a BrightDrop commercial EV, call first so we can confirm the vehicle configuration and required fleet-dealer coordination.
Clear decisions, fewer surprises
A preliminary estimate is a starting point. We explain what it includes, what still needs inspection and what must be authorized before additional work proceeds.
Bring your claim number, adjuster’s details and any estimate you already have. We document damage, explain the repair scope and submit supporting information for supplements when additional damage or operations are identified.
Read how a repair supplement works. Approval timing, parts and the repair itself can all affect completion. We keep you informed about what is moving and what is waiting.
You do not need an insurance claim to ask us about body repairs. We’ll discuss the damage, the work recommended and the costs before you decide how to proceed.
If you’re weighing a cosmetic repair against a larger job, we can explain the difference. Safety-related work and required repair procedures still matter, whichever way the bill is paid.
Routine maintenance is a separate need. Visit our mechanical repair services for non-accident concerns.
From the first photos to pickup
Call, visit for a free preliminary visual estimate or send photos and your full VIN through our existing estimate form. Tell us what you noticed and, if you know, how the damage happened. Mention any change in how the vehicle drives.
When needed and authorized, disassembly reveals areas a walk-around cannot show. We document added damage, discuss supplements and approvals, and confirm the parts and procedures.
Body work, structural operations, refinishing and related systems work follow the repair plan. We explain parts delays or approval changes rather than treating the first target date as a guarantee.
Final checks cover the completed work, panel fit and finish, required scans and any applicable calibration or function checks. At pickup, we review the repair and answer your questions.
Before you bring it in
Yes. Universal Motorcars’ Spring Mountain facility is certified through the GM Collision Repair Network for GM vehicles, including Chevrolet. Find us at 5585 Spring Mountain Road in GM’s official locator. Our fleet and electric-vehicle specialties are separately listed on our facility profile.
Photos help us start the conversation, but they may not show cracks on the back, damaged attachments or affected sensors. Inspection and GM repair information determine whether repair or replacement is appropriate. A free visual estimate does not include every procedure needed to uncover hidden damage.
The estimates may have been prepared at different stages or include different parts and operations. Damage can become visible after authorized disassembly. We document the differences and request a supplement when appropriate; that request still needs the necessary approvals.
It depends on the damage, parts supply, approvals and any specialist procedures. We can discuss a working timeframe after assessment and update it as the repair scope becomes clear. A bumper job and a structural repair should not be given the same blanket promise.
Not every repair needs the same calibration. GM’s service information, your Chevrolet’s equipment and the components repaired, replaced or disturbed determine what is required. Diagnostic scans and a calibration are different steps; we plan each as applicable.
Often, the repair is limited to the affected area or panel, with blending into adjacent areas when needed for the finish. A light surface mark and a scratch that exposes the material below the paint are different repairs. Send a close-up and a wider photo, and we’ll tell you what we can assess from them and what needs an in-person look. We won’t promise that a scratch will simply buff out.
